Earthy. Bright. Punchy.
Commonly referred to as stinging nettle, this herbaceous flowering plant (Urtica dioica) is loaded with flavour and nutrition.
Harvested and dried in beautiful BC.
Uses: Though it is most typically steeped to make a medicinal tea or tincture, nettles can be used in many culinary scenarios. Some favourites are fresh in pesto, syrups, quiches, soups, or in the same places you would use any other leafy greens! Be sure to save the water you steep or steam it in and enjoy it as a nutritious tea.
